Meet The Dentists
Though running my dental office has always been a top priority, I believe that giving back is really important. Being on the board of the Kansas Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped has been very rewarding. They offer free dental care for monetarily, medically, physically and age-handicapped individuals. Formerly, I was the dental director and on the board of the Health Partnership Medical Clinic of Johnson County which provides Johnson County with free medical and dental care. Another thing that has been very important to me is my work with Grace United Methodist Church of Olathe. Through their ministry, I’ve had the privilege to help provide free dental and medical care to the village of Tochimizolco, Puebla, Mexico.
As the owner of a dental office, I enjoy giving the best service to every one of my patients. We view our patients as family. And, that is how we treat them. I love being a part of a child’s first dental experience. Helping a young child feel comfortable and at peace is really important to our whole team. When it comes to adult patients, they become a lot more like good friends. I love to hear about their lives inside and outside of our office.
I’m very blessed to not only own my practice but to have an amazing family. I am married to Lois and have two daughters who I love very much – Shannon and Lindsay. I’m very happy to practice dentistry with Lindsay and am very proud of all that she has done and the woman she has become. My daughter Shannon is involved as a therapist for abused children. I also have a shepherd/lab mix dog named Indie who came into our lives some time ago and still calls us home.
Staying at the forefront of dental techniques is extremely important to me. I still attend continued education from some of the top dental organizations in the country. I’m also an active member in several important organizations:
- Kansas Dental Association (Past President)
- Olathe Dental Family American Dental Association
- UMKC Dental Alumni Association (Former Alumni of the Year)
I am an Olathe, Kansas native and currently live in Stilwell with my amazing and loving husband, Todd Davidson. He is a professional photographer and an top-notch musician. Our two sons, Wyatt and Liam, keep us busy. And of course, every family needs a dog. Ours is named Eddie. He is a black lab and enjoys playing with our large Maine Coon cat Malley. I’ve been involved in a lot of outreaches, including helping with dental care in Mexico with my dad.
Being a dentist is amazing and being able to work with my father, Dr. Waters, at our dental office is even better. Working here has given me the opportunity to create a lot of relationships with our patients. Children turn into parents and adults into grandparents. I work really hard because it is important to me that every single patient has a wonderful experience at our office. And, I do have to say that we probably have some of the best patients in Olathe! I’m very thankful.
My dad and I share our passion for continued education and keeping up with the latest dental technology. If you come to our dental office in Olathe, you will find that we have leading edge technology and techniques.
I graduated at Baker University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. From there, I went to the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry for my dental education. For continued education, I’ve attended Pankey Institute along with taking many courses in Invisalign®.
Dr. Ward joined the practice in 2016. As a graduate of Washburn University, he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry and physics. While attending Washburn University, he won four tennis conference championships and finished 6th in the country in singles his senior year. Dr. Ward attended University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for his DDS degree, graduating with highest honors. While completing his dentistry education at University of Missouri at Kansas City-School of Dentistry, he gained advanced training in oral surgery, endodontics (root canal fillings) and placing implants.
